New York Full-Time City Market Manager for Spirits Portfolio

Havas Street is hiring a Full-Time City Market Manager to represent and manage a high-profile spirits portfolio! As the City Manager you will be responsible for ensuring seamless execution of on & off premise events and managing a team of Brand Ambassadors to promote the spirits portfolio in New York.


Position details:

Date: April 2025 – January 2, 2026

Market: New York Market

$1,400 - $1,500 (based on experience) | W2 Employee

Internet & Phone monthly stipend


City Manager Responsibilities:


Sampling Event Management:

• Executes and manages all aspects of the market events and tactics

• Ensures POS and assets are used in market, following brand guidance

• Warehouse Management

• Manages local storage unit and utilizes event assets and program materials

• Strategically staffs schedule and coordinates all aspects of execution

• Attends and supports event execution on a consistent basis to ensure event excellence and sampling compliance. This includes working promotional events when needed

• Budget Compliance - Manages team credit cards and local budget; submits monthly reports including product spends and other local field expenses

• Payroll Management

• Generates and submits weekly payroll reports to Regional Manager, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for Brand Ambassador team, even on holidays

• Responds to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits providing timely and accurate information

• Distributes and transports POS and assets to the warehouse, events, and Brand Ambassadors

• Completes program reports including taking event photos and feedback from account staff and consumers. Offers recommendations, based on market knowledge


Brand Ambassador team management:

• Recruits, trains, and supervises Brand Ambassador and logistics team. Schedules shifts, coaches and disciplines team with Regional Manager guidance

• Coaches/trains the ambassador teams to continually reinforce key talking points, best practices and sampling legalities


Client relations:

• Serves as the primary contact for the local sales team to develop and maintain positive working relationships. Maintains prompt and responsive communication with all requests while maintaining a positive working relationship

• Enhances account relationships with retailers and consumers

• Success Evaluation

• Provides information on competitive activity in the market

• Works seamlessly with local teams to share best practices

• Meets program KPIs consistently, including sales and execution standards


Must haves:

• Must 21 years of age or older. Spirits experience preferred. 

• Passion for Event Marketing

• Only accepting local candidates

• At least 1 year of management exp. in the spirits/beer industry

• Flexible schedule and able to commit to full-time role including working on holidays, weekends, and evenings

• Well versed with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

• Have reliable vehicle with clean driving record and valid driver's license

• Must be local to the area

• Able to lift, load, unload and move product – up to 50 pounds

• Must be comfortable driving every day

• Bachelor’s degree desired but not required
